Chasing The Tide...

Got onto a certain spot early, and waited a while for the tide to do it some justice, but just as the crowd started to thin and the waves got better, the wind changed and ruined it.

Went for a cruise around to a few spots to kill some time waiting for the tide. Got to another spot about 3 hours later, and half the aussie Hawaii returns were there with photogs in tow. The swell had too much punch for the best part of the reef and there was about 80+ people there including a fair few pros, TR. BP, Thurston, Marquina, Lilly pollard, Chapple, Ewan Donachie, Quinn, Bunting, Mark McCarthy (just to name a few) Plus a good local contingent.

The tide didnt really help and the size and direction of the larger sets just didnt make for good conditions, with consistent clean up sets (and a frothing crowd) making the task of waiting inside for a smaller, hollow one very hard.
